URN:583<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>WALSDEN C&amp;BC IS A LCB APPROVED FOCUS CLUB<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Location<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Walsden\u00a0Cricket &amp; Bowling Club is situated in the village of\u00a0Walsden\u00a0(West Yorkshire) alongside the A6033 which runs from\u00a0Littleborough\u00a0(4 miles away) in Lancashire to\u00a0Todmorden\u00a0(2 miles away) in West Yorkshire. The Club House is situated on\u00a0Scott Street\u00a0virtually opposite the\u00a0Gordon\u00a0Rigg\u00a0Garden\u00a0Centre.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GENERAL INFORMATION ON W C &amp; B C.<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The village of\u00a0Walsden\u00a0is situated in Calderdale, West Yorkshire and has a population of approximately 2,500 people. The only major sporting centre in\u00a0Walsden\u00a0is the cricket club and along with Saint Peters Church it is the main focal point for the local community. The Club is affiliated to both the Lancashire and Yorkshire Cricket Boards and is a\u00a0Clubmark\u00a0approved club and a registered Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Walsden\u00a0Cricket &amp; Bowling Club was formed in 1870 and in 2000 celebrated its 130th\u00a0year.\u00a0\u00a0The Club was a founder member of the Central Lancashire League (CLL) in 1892 and until 2015 remained in that league. In 2016 the club joined The Pennine Cricket League (PCL) which was a merger of the Central Lancashire League and the\u00a0Saddleworth\u00a0League.\u00a0\u00a0As a result of other Clubs deciding to join other Leagues the PCL finished at the end of the 2017 Season and the Club made the decision to join the Lancashire League for the 2018 Season and onwards.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Walsden C&amp;BC is a non profit making organisation with any profits being reinvested in the club, cricket, and bowls. The club is run by its Officers and the General Committee of around 15 committed individuals. We provide excellent cricket coaching for juniors of all ages and there is cricket available for youngsters every evening during the summer months.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Our ground and nets are available to all local schools at no cost. Our function room (Millennium Suite) is used regularly by Todmorden Bridge Club and previously Healthy Minds. Use of the bar is negotiable. The cost of match sponsorship is normally \u00a3100 plus VAT, but can also be negotiatable.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ADVERTISING BOARDS<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Advertising boards are placed around the ground in full view of spectators and players. Costs are dependent upon your requirement but standard board set up prices are approximately \u00a3130 for 8\u2019x3\u2019 plus Vat for providing the board itself and then \u00a3120 per annum plus Vat thereafter for the advertising board annually which includes 2 free memberships. Sponsors can provide their own boards if they wish.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MATCH BALL SPONSORSHIP<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Match ball sponsorship is available for all 1st\u00a0XI games and other games upon request. Providing cricket balls for every game is a major expense, so this form of sponsorship is very valuable to the club.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Match ball sponsorship of Senior games costs approximately \u00a330 and junior games \u00a310, all figures inclusive of VAT.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PITCH HIRE AND PRACTICE NET HIRE<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The cricket ground and cricket nets are available for hire for friendly games and practice. The hire includes use of our changing rooms including showers and toilets.
