Walsden CC is committed to the future of cricketing development at the club by putting in place a coaching network to ensure that both the senior and junior cricketers have the proper guidance to assist their ongoing cricketing development. With this in mind the club continues to engage the services of a level 3 ECB coach and embarked on a programme of encouraging club members and players to go on ECB coaching courses.

All coaches and coaching assistants are DBS checked

During the current season the qualified coaches involved at the club will be as follows:

Practice

Practice nights are as follows:

Junior Practice Night –

Fridays 4:30pm – 8:00pm approximately

Senior Practice Nights –

Wednesdays 6.30 – 8.00pm approximately

Match Days

Senior Teams

1st     Eleven Most Weekends occasionally on Saturdays and mainly Sundays (50 overs per side)

2nd    Eleven Most Weekends occasionally Saturdays and mainly on Sundays (45 overs per side)

3rd/4th     Eleven Most Weekends, normally one match only on Saturdays (40 overs per side)           

Junior Teams – game days vary but the club hosts junior games on most evenings in the summer.

Practice Facilities

The Club originally installed a new 3 lane practice facility in 2013 with the kind assistance of Calderdale Community Foundation, the CO-OP bank and the ECB. The club then carried out a major upgrade of the facility in March 2022 thanks to a very kind grant of £27,117 from FCC communities foundation. This is now a superb 3 lane training facility.
